This documentary explores the idea of integrating the oral tradition into digital behaviours as well as the idea of digital memory. Using interviews, found-footage music and sound, the piece creates a collage of stories around and about the war in Bosnia.
Cançó Popular (Folk Song) includes the testimony of Plàcid Garcia Planas -journalist -, Guillermo Cervera - photojournalist - Sandra Balsells - photojournalist - and Ibrahim Spahic - director of the Sarajevo Winter Festival, BiH - as a tribute to Bosnia Herzegovina and four narrators who in the past years, have tried to explain the complex identity of contemporary Europa. This short audio-visual was also meant as a tribute to oral tradition, because all the folk songs and stories tell us something our past and our memories.
